2024-2025 New Family/Student Information

Hello and welcome to Aberdeen Hall,

My name is Chris Grieve, Head of School, and I look forward to greeting you this coming September. We are thrilled to have you join our community!
In May every year, we send out an email communication with information and advice for new families joining our school.

I encourage you to reach out with any questions you may have to our admissions office, admissions@aberdeenhall.com, or myself, christopher.grieve@aberdeenhall.com. We are always happy to connect.
With warm regards,

Chris Grieve
Head of School

Welcome to Preschool

On behalf of the Aberdeen Hall Preschool team, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to our new Preschool families. We've put together a comprehensive parent information package below.

Please also take the time to fill out the 'Transition to Preschool Questionnaire' which will help your child's homeroom teacher familiarize themselves with details about your child before the first day of school.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out.

Warmly,

Tiffani Weaver

Preschool Uniform

The school uniform for Preschool students consists of navy and white. Students may wear navy shorts/skorts/school plaid tunic or navy pants and a white or navy polo shirt. Navy ankle socks are worn with the pants and shorts, and navy knee high socks or leotards are worn with the skorts and tunics.

The school crested sweaters, cardigans, pull-over v-necks or vests, polo shirts, and the plaid tunic are available for purchase from the uniform shop (you can select from the "Junior School Uniform Order Form" HERE).

All of the other items may be purchased from a store of your choice.

Outdoor shoes or a substantial shoe are required for outdoor play (this can be a runner). For class time each child needs to have a pair of indoor shoes that are light-weight and easy to put on. Rubber-soled, slip-on runners are best and will serve as “gym shoes'' as well.

Uniform Shop

The Uniform Shop will be open for drop-ins from August 26 - 30.

The uniform shop is located in the new Athletic and Wellness Centre on the main floor.

If you have any questions please contact Rachelle Couillard.

Stay in Touch

Summer Mailing

The Summer Mailing is a digital communication that you can expect to receive in early August with information about the first day of school and other important information and upcoming events.

Weekly Newsletters

Starting August 30, You will receive two email newsletters a week, the 'Tuesday Reminders' (on Tuesdays) and the 'Friday Courier' (on Fridays). These emails are robust and cover all divisions of the school (Preschool, Junior School, Middle School, High School, and Athletics).

MySchool

You will also receive messages from your homeroom teacher, specialty teachers or division principals via our student records management software, MySchool. This messaging system is used for targeted emails to specific grade levels or classes (as opposed to messages that need to go to the whole school).

Text Messages

Occasionally, you will receive a text message from our school messaging system (in the case of emergency, or for a last minute schedule change if we need to ensure the message is received by everyone quickly).

Questions about anything in this newsletter can be directed towards our Director of Communications and Marketing, Erin Jones (hello!) at communications@aberdeenhall.com.
