Coach Overton led the Eagles to a 14-0 record and a second straight Class 6 state championship this past season. Coach Overton went 88-20 in his 9 years leading the Freedom-Woodbridge Eagles. Before Overton's arrival, the Eagles had never won more than 4 games in a season and never recorded a winning record. He recently was named the new Head Football Coach at Hayfield HS in Alexandria, VA. His 2023 squad crushed the record books on both the Offensive and Defensive side of the football! Overton has volunteered locally on behalf of the Helping Others turkey drive. He has also developed a Youth Tackle/Elite 7x7 Football and other sports organization, Playmakers Elite (PME), in the Northern Virginia region over the last decade that impacts the lives of numerous families and kids.
