OTTAWA TFC PARTNERS UP WITH 'ÉCOLE SECONDAIRE CATHOLIQUE GARNEAU'

Beginning in the Fall 2023, Garneau will run a sport-études soccer program, in partnership with Ottawa TFC, a national license holder, will allow students to further develop as high-level soccer players. As the exclusive Eastern Ontario Affiliate Academy of Toronto FC and a member of the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL), Ottawa TFC offers talented players a direct route to provincial, national and TFC programs from a way no other club in Ottawa can. Combined with the reputation and facilities of Garneau Catholic High School, this innovative sports-études partnership offers student-athletes a soccer program unmatched in the region.

COMPETITIVE/ACADEMY

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE U11/U12 MIXED COMPETITIVE ACADEMY SQUAD!

Congratulations to our U11/U12 mixed Academy squad who came out on top in the ARS Laval National tournament this weekend! The team went 5/5 over the two days playing some great football, scoring 17 goals and keeping 3 clean sheets in the process. It was a true team effort that exemplified OTFC’s passion, hunger and team spirit.

A big thank you to all parents, siblings and players from other OTFC teams who stuck around to support the team until the final - you were awesome. And a big shoutout to Neil Roy for the great photos!

COACHES' CORNER

Most of our Grassroots and Open League sessions are run by a combination of our most talented senior youth players, who are beginning their own coaching journey at our club, and parent coaches selected and trained from within the community.

All coaches are trained and licensed, and are overseen by Ottawa TFC's staff coaches. A modest coaching honorarium is provided to parent coaches and youth coaches who volunteer their time to help us create a great environment for the kids. We encourage you to consider signing up for this, yourself, by clicking on the Coaches Wanted icon.

GOALKEEPING TRAINING

Another Friday night in our thriving Goalkeeper program with coaches Brogan, Shane, and company! Thank you to the GeeGees for sending their GK department to help with our programming. It was especially nice to see OTFC alumni Julianne Lacasse back with our club, this time with her GeeGees kit on.

If your child is interested in goalkeeping, do not hesitate to sign them up for our U9-U18 Goalkeeper Training this summer (sessions start in the spring).

All our teams have amazing dedicated coaches and staff, but let's get to know them a bit better. We will be profiling coaches from Ottawa TFC in a new section called 'Coaches' Profile'.

Where do our players go after their pathway at Ottawa TFC finishes? University? Professional team? etc. Let's find out together!

Nominate a player, coach, manager, volunteer, referee or any dedicated member of our club. Send us a small paragraph and picture about this person and we will share her with the Ottawa TFC community.
