Three Waukesha County women have been chosen to receive $3,000 New Hope Scholarships for 2023 from the Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County.
The recipients are:
- Bianca Fortin of Pewaukee, who is a full-time student pursuing a nursing degree at the Waukesha campus of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
- April Sutton of Menomonee Falls, who is a full-time student pursuing a bachelors in nursing at Carroll University.
-
Rachel Hensgen of Waterford, who is a full-time student pursuing a technical diploma in human resource professional at Waukesha County Technical College.
The New Hope Scholarship Fund was created by Tom and Karie Stupek to ease the financial barrier of tuition for women returning to school to seek a chance at a better life through education. The Stupeks established the scholarship fund to support women who have faced obstacles in realizing their dreams, and to celebrate the strength and resilience of the proud women of Waukesha County.
