Development
West Edge
We completed construction of the West Edge retail development in Winston-Salem NC. Publix opened on October 15, 2023, and was joined by other retailers including Dunkin, Heartland Dental, Jersey Mikes, La Barberia, Friendly Nails, and Cone Health. Only two spaces remain to be leased.

Storage Units Under Construction
Development team has multiple self-storage projects currently under construction in the following markets: Port Charlotte, FL.; Chattanooga, TN.; Orlando, FL.; Charlotte, NC. New projects to start construction soon in Richmond, VA.; Mechanicsville, VA.; Louisville KY.

Hunt Club Village
Construction is in progress at our 40,000 SF Hunt Club retail development in Charleston SC. We will begin turning over space to tenants in March.

New Storage Facilities
Your Storage Units - Panama City, FL
This project includes one building totaling 69,725 SF with climate-controlled units, an indoor drive-thru aisle, and a sales office. The facility opened October 24, 2023.

Your Storage Units - Ocoee, FL
The newest Your Storage Units facility consists of one 4-story building totaling 79,785 SF with climate-controlled units, an indoor drive-thru aisle, and a sales office. The facility opened December 14, 2023.

Storage Expansions
Monster Self Storage - Orangeburg, SC
One building totaling 25,450 SF was added to our Monster Self Storage facility in Orangeburg, SC. The expansion added an additional 177 units (110 climate-controlled units and 67 standard units).

Monster Self Storage - Valdosta, GA
One building totaling 26,025 SF was added to our Monster Self Storage facility Valdosta, GA. The expansion added an additional 157 units (101 climate-controlled units and 56 standard units).

Johns Island Shopping Center
73,220 SF retail center - Bon Secours DBA Roper St. Francis recently signed a lease on the last vacancy in this center. Focus remains on improving the property and re-tenanting to accomplish the higher-end tenant mix the rapidly changing demographic is requesting.

Located in the heavily trafficked Riverland Terrace area on James Island, Woodland Shores Retail is now fully leased. Azul Mexicano and Charleston Sports Pub bookend the endcaps while Charleston Hemp Collective and Ride N Roll Cycle Studio are in full swing of operations in line. Whit’s Custard is under construction in the last remaining bay of this 15K SF un-anchored neighborhood center.

Employee Recognition
It brings us great pleasure to recognize Keesha Moreland as our “Employee of the Quarter” for Q4 of 2023!
Keesha started as Assistant Manager at our Monster Self Storage Orangeburg location in November of 2022 and was promoted to Property Manager soon after.
Keesha’s exceptional focus on marketing was a huge part of MSS Orangeburg’s success in Q4. MSS Orangeburg posted net positive rental months in October, November, and December. Keesha’s consistent and thorough attention to detail helps her maintain a clean, high-performing site that we’re all proud of.
