The Kentucky Core Healthcare Measures Set committees have finalized the 2021 updates to the core set.

The final vote resulted in the removal of one measure, addition of six measures, and a handful of changes in “standard” “high” priority designations. Measures added include adult access to health services, opioid prescribing, total cost of care, mental health utilization, appropriate CT imaging, and chronic disease complications. KHC Forum Highlights Cardiovascular Care in the Commonwealth

On June 8, the KHC hosted a 2.5-hour virtual event open to the public for free thanks to grant funding from the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This interactive session highlighted Kentucky's quality of care, a consumer story, a local cardiologist who opened a clinic for the underserved, a panel of providers who are tackling this complex condition, and payer and employer reactions.
