2019 Annual BBQ
Our 2019 Annual BBQ occurred on August 24th at the beautiful Richard's Grove & Saralee's Vineyard in Windsor. Over 450 guests enjoyed a wonderful evening of craft beer from the Lagunitas Brewery, wine from La Crema, Ballettos and Francis Coppola, dinner by Lombardi’s, and dessert by Screaming Mimi’s.

The proceeds from ticket sales as well as a silent, and live auction will help support the Youth Ag Center in Rohnert Park, and provide scholarships and project grants to youth organizations like 4-H and FFA.

During the evening, Adrienne Uboldi, the Board President of the YAL Foundation, and Felicia Rush, the Executive Director, thanked all of the event sponsors, everyone who generously donated items to the silent and live auctions, event committee members and volunteers, and the attendees for their support.

Uboldi told the crowd that the evening also paid tribute to our 4-H Alumni Award winner Tony Ghisla, after Director and MC, Fred Frey, recognized our Shinning Star, American Ag Credit.

As the evening celebrated Sonoma County’s Youth, participants enjoyed delicious local food and beverages, music by Court 'N Disaster, a wine pull, heads or tails 50/50 game and took part in the silent auction and live auctions. During the live auction, many raised their hands making pledges that ranged from $100 to $10,000 to fund the future of Youth Ag & Leadership.

The event was extremely successful raising over $175,000 to support Sonoma County Youth! We sincerely thank all our sponsors, donors and attendees for supporting the Youth Ag & Leadership Foundation of
Sonoma County!

Fall 4-H Project Grants
Project grants are due right around the corner. On November 15th clubs will be feverishly submitting requests to the foundation to fund items like food preservers, wood carving supplies and so much more. Each fall we award thousands of dollars to groups to fund projects that would otherwise struggle to continue.

We’ve been receiving thank you’s from our Spring 2019 grants. Two Rock 4-H Leather-craft Project is very grateful to have new tools to add to a great assortment of equipment. Many of the members were able to enter and exhibit their work
into the Sonoma County Fair to win prizes. The Sonoma County Dairy Goat project used their grant money for equipment to participate in National Dairy Goat Show in Redmond Oregon where they took 3rd place!

A committee of board members review and rank the proposals, we hope to increase our budget for grants in the next year, if you want to support us in this effort follow the link below to make a donation!
