AIA Announces Future Office Location
|
AIA Rochester is pleased to announce an upcoming partnership with The Landmark Society regarding our presence in the city! As you are aware, we recently vacated our space on St. Paul Street in a mutually beneficial lease termination with the building's owners. This coming spring, the chapter will have a new touch-down space at The Landmark Society's future location at Warner Castle. Our Executive Director will continue working from a home office as she is currently, but the chapter will have a dedicated space to hold meetings, store the ARE library, and house our Design Awards and golf tournament items. This decision, which was arrived at and approved by AIA Rochester's Board of Directors, addresses the reality that in light of the current budget our physical space is not used often enough to justify the costs incurred to maintain a space such as that on St. Paul. The upcoming location capitalizes on a synergy between AIA Rochester and The Landmark Society, keeps the chapter in a very good financial state, and allows the chapter to continue to improve upon events and services to its members.
