Social Finance Academy
From September 28-30, 2016, the first ever Social Finance Academy will bring together Canada's leading practitioners, faculty, and thought-leaders in the emerging sector of social finance. In order to identify and respond to the many opportunities to think differently about investment and finance, it has become essential for organizations to understand how and why social finance strategies are used to manage capital for the purpose of delivering social value as well as economic return. The inaugural Social Finance Academy is a unique professional development opportunity for financial service professionals, investors, policy makers, philanthropists, executives of social mission driven organizations and government representatives. Participants will learn from the people behind some of the new tools, research, strategies and products that are leading the social finance marketplace.
Session leaders include:
- David Borcsok (Royal Bank of Canada)
- Tina Dacin (Smith School of Business)
