Simply Extraordinary Pinot Noir and Chardonnay
In a country blessed with a number of excellent producers of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, one producer's name stands above all others - Bindi Winegrowers

The just-released flagship wines from the exceptional 2016 vintage represent the 26th (consecutive) vintage at Bindi, and owner/winemaker Michael Dhillon has been there throughout, helping his father plant the original vines in 1988 to being solely responsible for the wines today. Both the Pinot Noirs and the Chardonnays are the epitome of
excellence
, delicate, ethereal, mineral-laden and pure-fruited. Whilst they are utterly delicious upon release, they excel with at least eight years of bottle age, developing incredible complexities and fleshing out slightly more. Click here for more information on Bindi.
Two years ago we were privileged to host Michael in store as he poured each and every vintage of his two top Pinot Noirs - the 'Original Vineyard' and the 'Block 5' - and we witnessed first hand just how extraordinary these wines are. However the most extraordinary take-away from that event was to witness the amazing longevity of the wines - only a single wine (the 1993 Original Vineyard) was showing any signs of tiredness. Bindi is one of the very few new-world producers whose Pinot Noirs improve for two (or more) decades and retain freshness and vibrancy with age.
And the 'Quartz' Chardonnay is every bit the equal of it's red siblings, with very complex, layered fruit and beautiful minerality and refreshing acidity.
While the 'Dixon' Pinot Noir and 'Kostas Rind' Chardonnay are produced as more open, accessible styles for earlier drinking, do not be fooled, as they too age for at least a decade.
Quantities of all of these wines are very limited, and we cannot recommend them strongly enough. Sadly, due to limited stock, we are only able to offer a maximum of three bottles per person of each of the Block 5 and Quartz.
