The red Burgundies from 2015 were grown in perfect conditions, and the resultant wines have the perfect balance between fruit and tannins, acidity and minerality.  They are utterly delicious in their youth, and will age impressively.  They are the perfect 'magazine' vintage, where critics fall over themselves to tell you (the consumer) just how good the wines are.  Praise is effusive, and a global frenzy is whipped as allocations of the wines sell out rapidly.

Of course, there is plenty of truth in all of this.  2015 has indeed seen exceptional wines produced by many makers.  The wines are opulent and upfront, delicious and age-worthy, with impressive purity and concentration of ripe fruit.  Qualitatively, they do sit amongst great vintages like 2010, 2009, 2005, 2002 and 1999 - although precisely where is perhaps a matter of personal preference.

And, sadly, the other truth is their scarcity.  Demand is insatiable worldwide, allocations are reduced seemingly every vintage, and prices have risen.

Yet the wines in this offer we believe are very fairly priced.  These three producers are very much at the top of their craft, and we have managed to secure reasonable quantities.
