The fly bins are full of hendricksons, early black caddis and stoneflies for your dry fly fishing needs and for you streamer junkies, look no further we have what you need.

Guide Trips:

Steelhead are still running with fresh fish continuing to show up in area streams and should offer good fishing for the next two weeks. This is a great opportunity to target steelhead in the morning and pull out the trout rods and fish for trout in the afternoon.

The Month of May offers some of the best fishing for the ardent trout angler. Whether it's targeting the big, trophy browns with streamers or casting dries to rising fish to the number of insects that emerge throughout the month. Trout Opener 2011

High Water and a late spring

With the rains we have had over the past few days look for most area streams to be a bit on the high side to say the least. Hendricksons are starting to pop in the late afternoon hours and some good early black caddis activity can be had. The water temps are just getting to the point where the fish will start to look up. Try emerger patterns and soft hackles, then move to the dries when you start to see surface activity.

The trout will be gorging on worms with the high water, so don't be afraid to fish large streamers to get their attention a have another meal. Be careful wading in the high water, and make sure you wear your wading belt! Once the water starts to drop, look for fishing to really improve and insect activity to peak.
