Action Committee

Although the Education AC is not new to CCIA, it's work is so broad and demanding it requires a steady call for volunteers. CCIA’s Education Team is made up of educators, concerned parents and citizens who confront dangerous policies taking over our kid’s education and minds. It is a multi-pronged approach consisting of sub-committees that confront the LCPS School Board, advocate for parental rights, monitoring of age-appropriate curriculum, lessons and literature, research and education/awareness of parents and the public. If you are interested in this team, please contact

CCIA advocated for Proposed Resolution 23-087 to allocate $400,000 for helping businesses pay repair costs due to crime (broken windows, break-ins, etc) up for a vote 1/17/2023.

Recovery Update from Cruces Creatives

Just before Christmas, Cruces Creatives got a nasty surprise - a break-in at the makerspace that left thousands of dollars in smashed glass and missing laptops and other tools. Over the following few weeks, though, there’s been a greater and opposite surprise. Scores of community members have donated a total of over $10,000, enough to repair the damage, replace the stolen tools, and improve makerspace security for the future. We’re especially grateful for the $500 matching grant, and Nusenda Credit Union, which offered a $5,000 recovery grant within days of learning about the break-in.

Thanks to the many, many people and organizations who gave what they could, Cruces Creatives will be able to completely recover.
