109 Drive Thru, a note from Monica & Todd

Dear Cheese and Wine friends;

On Wednesday at approximately noon we had an unexpected vehicle drive thru the cheese shop and we are not a drive thru.

Thankfully no one was injured!

Our larger cheese wheels stepped up and took the hit for us, as did our cheese cases and other product. We are in the process of working with our suppliers to restock the store for the weekend. Our plan is to open as usual Saturday morning with enough cheese and goodies to get through the weekend.

109 Wine was unaffected and all of the bottles are safe and looking for a great new home.

So come on down and check out our new window and wall and say hi.

We want to thank our staff and all of our Marketplace neighbors for their support and encouragement during these past few days of rebuilding.

We look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

Join us in the lobby at 7:15 for a wine tasting with 109 Cheese & Wine as well as a reception and exhibit of work by photographer Bonnie Edelman.

Billie Holiday comparisons are coming thick and fast for retro-soul chanteuse Kat Edmonson. The Boston Globe called her 2012 album, Way Down Low, "one of the greatest vocal albums I've ever heard." Her 2014 follow-up, The Big Picture, confirms it was no fluke: she is one of today's most exciting and original singers, a throwback who is completely of the moment, a dazzling talent with a voice that's impossible to forget.

Singer-songwriter Milton has made waves in the New York City music scene and is regularly heard on college radio airwaves. He sings with a smoky, rasp-filled voice that's been called "raw, real and powerful."
