Kurt Vonnegut Jr. is one of the 20th century's most beloved writers, with novels like Slaughterhouse-Five and Cat's Cradle still widely read. A recently-found trove of his love letters, recently uncovered by his daughter and now adapted for the stage, shows his humour, sadness and warmth in full flight.

The Haffts and the Hafft-Nots

While sorting through the cluttered house of a deceased relative for an estate sale, the Hafft family squabbles over heirlooms, arguments made worse when they suspect a particularly ugly little sculpture could be much more valuable than any of them ever imagined. A rollicking comedy about the cost of possessions.

Emerging playwright Bella Hudson has written a new play for this year’s festival. Taking place In the year 1957 in the Soviet Union, three younger miners get trapped underground in a mine explosion. The young men attempt to grapple with grief, isolation and desperation in the struggle to stay alive.

Bathsheba and the Books

Our Communications & Rentals Director, Davina Stewart directs this smart and sexy comedy, starring Jeff Halaby, Aimée Beaudoin, Chris Fassbender, and Jake Tkaczyk! Bathsheba is assembling the first Bible to show the world she's more than just a sex symbol when her son, King Solomon, seizes the project to pay off debts. He gives her 15 minutes to choose the books that will influence Western civilization for the next three thousand years.

Erik Richards, from our Front-of-House team, is part of the team behind Talk Treaty to Me. One, two, three, four: I declare a thumb war! Five, six, seven, eight: Treaty Six will be so great! How exciting! What could go wrong? Two friends and two puppets from Treaty 6 are just trying to figure it out. They talk about Treaty, not necessarily to each other.
