Dreaming Even Bigger Dreams in South Africa
Now, even more dreams can come true for the kids at ER's South Africa Dream Centre. Thanks to generous donors, we were able to build a second campus using four sea containers. In this
video, Jerry Carnill shares his excitement regarding the impact this campus will have on the Dream Centre children. The project will bless many families.

Let's Celebrate the Life of 'Aunty' Pam
ER's Amy Townsend shared this tribute to Pam Keightley, who operated God's Little Lighthouse, a pre-school in South Africa where kids from local settlements found love and acceptance (ER has been connected to GLL through long-time partner ATAIM for many years). "It was a sad day! But heaven is rejoicing now that Aunty Pam has arrived. She will be greatly missed. She walked with us as we figured out how to start the Dream Centre. She was a great encourager and friend. Pam spent her life in service to the littlest ones of this world, teaching them their worth, loving them and filling their bellies. Her legacy of GLL will continue to shine." Read

More Celebration: Quito After-School Kids Excelling
ER's Robyn Wallace shared an exciting second quarter update on the Quito After-school Program that serves families from the Quito Dump. The update was filled with great news. The 44 kids enrolled all passed to the next grade (a few required summer school), 2,464 nutritious hot lunches were served, and 14 adolescents enrolled are responding really well to our newly enhanced mentoring program. Collectively the children received nearly 200 hours of homework tutoring, workshops, leadership and micro-business training, and more. We're elated by tremendous impact in the lives of kids in the
Dump community. Their futures are bright.

Kids Around the World
to pack 20,000 meals to feed hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children in the Philippines. The food packs will be used primarily to provide children with nutrition through ER programs and partners in greater Manila. Grace Chapel has a deep history of partnership with ER. Celebrating High Achievement: Manila Children's Home
Gela Basiwa, co-director of ER's

In the last six months, the boys received 304 hours of tutorial educational help, 46 awards and certificates and 5,000 nutritious meals. With many boys now entering adolescence, they are learning skills like washing clothes, maintenance, meal preparation, social engagement and more. We celebrate the great strides our MCH staff and boys are making!

Breaking Through: Artisan Women Empowered in Ecuador
The women in the Quito Dump Community have made handcrafted goods for years. But now, through an
Entrepreneurs Fair, they are learning marketing, presentation and financial skills. The recyclers are becoming self-sufficient. "For most participants, this was their first time to show their products at a fair," said ER's Johanna Hidalgo, primary organizer of the fair. "While they have confidence in their products, we provided extra training before opening the doors. The training had two themes - digital marketing and money handling. We hope we can help in the future with more training and more spaces where they can sell their products."

500+ Vulnerable Kids Have Received School Packs (So Far)
So far, ER has provided school uniforms, supplies and/or backpacks for more than 500 vulnerable kids. In the developing countries, children drop out of school if their families cannot afford basic items like educational supplies. But many kids still need our help. Watch Dawn Carnill's

Overcomers Campaign Reaches Goal (With Extra Help)
Thank you to all of you who supported our
Overcomers
campaign to raise funds for our programs. While we fell short of our goal of $65,000, a separate donation designated for "Kids" arrived just after the July 2 deadline. Combined, the total funds donated will help fund our women's and children's programs through the end of 2019. ER donors rock!
