The Morning Star Weekly Newsletter Vol 5, Edition 21 1/19/2021
Dear Morning Star Families and Friends,

I hope everyone had a restful three-day holiday weekend. Martin Luther King Jr. said in his “Where Do We Go From Here?” address, “I know that love is ultimately the only answer to mankind’s problems.” As we continue to navigate uncertain times, I pray that we will use his words as guidance to strive to love above all else.

All students (primary-high school) are taking the STAR 360 Reading and Math assessment this week progress monitoring. Frequent progress monitoring allows us to see students’ academic growth as well as identify any areas in need of remediation.

Reregistration packets for the 21/22 school year went home Friday, January 15th. Please complete the packets and return to school no later than February 3rd. Current students have priority but completed paperwork must be in by the 3rd. On February 4th, registration will open to new students.

As we continue to follow health and safety protocol in school, I just want to take this time to remind everyone that we all play a part in keeping our school safe. If your child is not feeling well, please keep your child home until he or she is well. If a family member is sick, please consider keeping your child home until the cause of the illness is determined. Please communicate with the front office if your child will be absent due to illness. The health and safety of the entire school community is our top priority.

God Bless,
Elaine Shott, Principal

In religion class, Sister Else delivered hearts with the message "I love you", addressed to each student and signed by God. It was like everyone won the lottery. The students faces were priceless!
