164th Annual Meeting
of Grace Episcopal Church
Sunday, January 22 at 9 a.m.
All are encouraged to attend the 164th annual meeting of Grace Parish on Sunday, January 22, at 9 a.m. in the nave. At this gathering parish members will elect new vestry members for three year terms, hear reports on the financial status of the parish, get an update on the new rector search process and hear thoughts from our leadership on the year ahead.
The vestry approved expanding the number of Vestry members by one by adding one new member each year for 2023, 2024 and 2025. This change allows the vestry to expand participation in the leadership and management of the parish (this year, electing two new members instead of one). It is meant to encourage greater diversity in terms of parish input and greater support from the vestry for parish ministries. This change will bring the total number of vestry members to 12 by 2025. Current vestry members Rebecca Harrison and Chris Ludbrook will run for a second three-year term. Jane Cenova and Mike Lillmars were nominated to serve for a three-year term.

Elegant Italian Dinner
The Elegant Italian Dinner is a major fundraiser for the Youth Mission Trip and a favorite social event for the parish—the youth host an elegant dinner of homemade lasagna, salad and dessert.
| |
|
There is a silent auction and great fellowship. It also provides an excellent opportunity for previous participants to share their experiences with the congregation.
Youth missioners and their chaperones spend a week away from home in the service of others, which is open to all high school students. The team will work with Habitat for Humanity in West Bend, Wisconsin, in June of 2023. The work will include home construction projects and other assignments that benefit the local habitat organization.
The youth will have tickets to sell at coffee hour beginning this week, and tickets are available online. The Social Hour and Silent Auction begin at 6 p.m. Dinner is served at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults.

Pastoral Care
Grace’s clergy are available by appointment to discuss personal, pastoral, or spiritual matters; please call or email the clergy directly. The lay pastoral care team members are also available to visit and bring communion to those unable to be at church in person. Please let the clergy or Sara Losse know (saratlosse@yahoo.com) if you or someone you know in the congregation is in need of a pastoral visit.
If you have a concern that you would prefer to keep private, please let the clergy or Ruth Moore know (clesiemo1@yahoo.com) so that she can put your need on the prayer chain. Throughout the week, members of the Grace Prayer Chain pray privately for the congregation's special needs.
In case of a pastoral emergency, please call the parish office at 314-821-1806. A priest is on call at all times. In case of hospitalization, when a church member is near death or has died, please notify the clergy as soon as possible so that we may minister to you and your family with prayers and anointing.

Transition Prayer
Almighty God, who knows our needs even before we ask, grant us a spirit of faith and courage, that we may have the strength to meet the days to come with steadfastness and patience; look graciously on this parish family and send forth your Holy Spirit to guide us to be of one heart and mind, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
