NOURISHING NEWS
serving our neighbors in need with compassion, dignity & respect

From Amy, a FISH client:
"Unfortunately, this year has been intensely challenging for us. My children and I are deeply thankful for the delivery of the spirit of community and the spirit of new friends in the midst of complexity and devastations. Our family has already lost so much. Your outpouring of generosity and compassion from the community is a healing symbol of hope, care and a sense of support to ensure our family has food.

Your graciousness is nourishment feeding our hearts and soul."

Meet FISH Volunteer Kodi Cumbo

This remarkable young man, Kodi Cumbo, has been volunteering at Edgewood Community FISH since he was in the 9th grade. In the 11th grade, he joined their Advisory Committee, providing guidance for food bank operations. Even though he is now working, and taking college courses through Running Start at TCC, he still makes time to volunteer once a week. As if this wasn't enough, he recently received a perfect score on his ACTs! Congratulations on your accomplishments, Kodi! We're grateful for all you do for FISH.

FISH Food Banks are about People
.
Volunteers, clients, donors, supporters, neighbors, seniors, children, the working poor, loving families.

FISH Food Banks are about Community.

The neighborhoods we serve, creating connections within each food bank, a supportive network, the village of volunteers it takes to accomplish monthly food distribution to more than 45,000 people each month.

FISH Food Banks are about Stories.

Transforming lives, supporting each other, clients giving back to the organization that supports them in hard times, hardships and tears, joy and accomplishments.

In 2014, people made 538,295 visits to FISH Food Banks.

This is what we want to share. This is what you help create.

Sincerely,

Sue Potter
