Highlands Elementary School Students to Celebrate School Garden Project
The 5th/6th Grade GATE classroom has an ongoing service learning project; The Highlands Garden. The Highlands Garden is a water-wise, mostly native, plant garden. This classroom project is getting a new sign. It will be put in soon and the school will have a New Sign Celebration on Monday, August 19th, at 10:00 a.m.. This will be a short ceremony, in the school's freshly weeded garden, that will bring some closure to our students' hard work last year. It will also be the beginning of the community use of the school's website that is linked to the sign.
