  • For Dave, as he has hip surgery tomorrow.

  • For Doug B, as he continues to recover at Fellowship Village - NC
  • For the American and Israeli hostages held in Gaza, and for the people of Rafah - L.L.
  • For Woody Y. who is in intensive care following a heart attack - Hal and Sue.
  • For peace in Gaza, Ukraine, and Sudan.      
  • For Doug B, as he moves from Fellowship Village to a facility near his daughter in Massachusetts.    
  • For Andy M. who is in hospice care; bless his friends and family as they care for him and one another.
  • For the RISE teams as they prepare for ministry this Summer.

Adult Discussion Group

There will not be an Adult Discussion Group this Sunday. Instead, come join the celebration in Rodda Hall after worship, when we honor and thank those who have contributed to the music ministry of our worship services. 


Our ADG meetings have concluded for now, but stay tuned for announcements about our future sessions, which will resume in September

I have just learned that our Pastor, Jeff Markay, will be honored this Saturday at the annual Fishawack Festival for his dedication and commitment to community service in Chatham, in particular to the CUMC Community Food Pantry and Distribution on Wednesday afternoons. If you happen to be in downtown Chatham on Saturday enjoying the Fishawack Festival events, stop by the gazebo in Reasoner Park at 1:30pm to cheer for Jeff.

This Sunday’s June 9th 10:00 AM Music & Arts Appreciation Sunday service will include The Covenant Choir performing Alleluia by Randall Thompson; our Choral Scholars and Ukulele Orchestra will perform Sullivan Pugh’s Let the Work I Do, Speak For Me. Join us! 


The Ukulele Orchestra will next practice together on Saturday, June 8th at

 Exploring the day’s scripture reading through conversation and activities designed for growing together in our faith

 

High School Discussion Group

Meets in the Wesley Room. This group gathers for conversation around the day’s scripture reading and current event topics, as we seek to grow together in our faith

The Chatham Community Food Distribution needs more egg cartons

for the eggs to give to our guests on Wednesday afternoons. Bring them to church, or drop them off in the box outside the doors at the rear of the church.
