What is the Advancement Initiative?

Annual Barbados Reboot Retreat


The Advancement Initiative (AI) was launched in 2017 with the mission to serve as an incubator for the next generation of high-impact diverse and inclusive leaders in the legal industry, and to address equity in promotion and advancement in the industry. AI serves women from historically underrepresented backgrounds in mid-level and senior roles at law firms, government, and in-house. AI focuses on high-quality programming and intentional relationship building focused on investing in the development of the well-rounded, strategic leader of tomorrow’s legal industry. Today, AI brings together over 350 women across all specialties that understand the importance of investing in themselves as foundational for the sustainable growth of the organizations, their families and their communities.
