Winter is here and it can be really hard to stay motivated about your health and fitness!! We tend to take on a “snuggle up” mentality, we eat more and we do less – human hibernation! Winter brings the cold, illness, the blues and isolation.
Exercise in winter can provide more benefit than exercise during the rest of the year, because it specifically answers our winter body needs. W
e have a choice of hibernating away from the darkness and cold or maintaining our spirits and fitness as we look forward to the longer warmer days.
A regular yoga practice gets you moving and burns calories, and the spiritual and emotional dimensions of yoga help with improving our mood and learning to focusing on the present.
During winter we also keep the studio heated at a comfortable temperature for practice.
Regular weekly classes are held at our Princes Highway Studio on:
- Wednesday 7.30pm
- Saturday 9.15am
- Sunday 6.00pm
All classes, except the Touch N' Connect and 18-35 classes are "drop-in", so just turn up to the class.
