In my last newsletter in June, I warned to watch for fireworks in July and I don't mean, sparklers on the 4th. I also shared about the interaction between Mercury in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces as we go into the shadow of Mercury retrograde. Well, folks, the shadow is upon us, and not just through Mercury. We are being called to look at the bully archetype within ourselves.

Many astrologers have been talking about Mars and Uranus coming together for weeks, just as the Republican Convention is about to begin and its role in Donald Trump's astrology chart. Mars rules war, violence, and aggressive behavior especially when it makes hard aspects. Uranus rules radical change, rebellion, and defying authority. As it is in Taurus and Trump's Mars and ascendant are in Leo, in the next few days, Mars and Uranus are squaring Trump's natal Mars and then his ascendant. This can bring violence upon one's self as well as perpetrate violence, as we witnessed on January 6th.

Monday and Tuesday, the first two days of the convention, expect a fiery Trump with Mars squaring his Mars. Thursday and Friday, Mars will square his ascendant. From Astrologyking.com: "Mars square Ascendant transit makes you very competitive and easily angered. You are prepared to fight for your rights and against any injustice you see. But you must be ready to deal with aggressive responses and some controversy."

At the same time, Mars and Uranus will also oppose exact the next two days, President Biden's Mercury which can make him pretty testy behind the scenes. But here is where it gets wild and tragic, the shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks had a Mars Uranus conjunction in his own natal chart but his Mars was in retrograde motion in Pisces. This makes Mars hold stuff in and present as passive and vulnerable. Allegedly, this young man had been bullied every day in school. He was also a Virgo sun with a Cancer moon. This was a sensitive soul. But his Mercury was also in Virgo in square to Pluto which makes for dark, obsessive thinking. This young man was holding in all the traumas perpetrated against him and along came a public figure whom many have referred to as a bully since the events of January 6th. With Jupiter the planet of protection and abundance moving through Trump's career house where his sun is as well, he has energetic protection. Next June, Jupiter will move into Cancer and that protection is no longer. Uranus will come back again and square his ascendant which can bring either violent change to the physical body or incite violence.

What is really tragic about this event is that a man lost his life protecting his family. The man killed at the Trump rally in Pennsylvania was identified as 50-year-old Corey Comperatore, a former fire chief, Italian American who died while using his body as a shield for his wife and daughters.

I am writing this for one reason and one reason only. If we are indeed moving toward oneness, there is an opportunity in the next few months to be a force for peace. I was so surprised to see that the person who fired those shots at Trump had a Venus Neptune trine, which makes these two planets operate in harmony with one another. His Venus was in the sign that rules the peacemaker, Libra. Neptune in esoteric astrology is the higher octave of Venus and can rule the martyr in this configuration. I am conjecturing here but... perhaps some part of his "twisted sister mind" thought he was preserving peace ... along with all his pent up anger stored up for a few years. The transiting nodes which deal with karmic destiny are in Libra and Aries. The next solar eclipse in October is in Libra. We are currently under the influence of the solar eclipse last April of Aries, the god of war. We are being asked to look at how we are creating peace and how we are creating war in our own lives. Where are we the bully and where have we been bullied? Much easier to point the finger out there to others and their bullying than look at ourselves.

Here's one more: how comfortable are we with our vulnerability? The archetype of Aries is more comfortable as the aggressor and the action taker than as being vulnerable. How comfortable are we with others' vulnerability. Can you sit with someone when they are in distress and just listen and be with your own vulnerability, not try to fix or judge?

I don't think this young man had a place to process his vulnerability or expose it. His father bought the rifle six months before, remember?

By the way, Kamala Harris is a Libra sun with an Aries moon must have been born on a full moon) so she carries these two archetypes for leadership within her - the aggressive action taker and the peacemaker. With Pluto leaving the sign of the old man, Capricorn finally for the last time on November 19th and goes into Aquarius until March 8, 2043, the emergent will be for a president who represents not just the U.S. but the face of humanity globally as well. Aquarius rules the future and is governed by... here we go again... Uranus, the lightning bolt planet of change. Who is elected as president will have to reflect all of humanity as we enter Pluto in Aquarius and will have to be a president who understands the critical stage we are at with our environment if we are to survive. Mother Earth comes to me in the dream time with a clarion call to make our environment our first priority if we are to have a future.

Shakespeare said, " All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances". So, in summary, from a Jungian perspective, we are seeing archetypes played out on this stage this week currently through old, wealthy, white men ( a 78 year old and an 82 year old), the wounded, ultra sensitive young man who was repeatedly bullied, and a middle aged half asian/half black woman who represents the non white, 85% of the races on the planet. I asked Siri what percentage of the world is Caucasian and she said, 15% so I'm going with that. The next American president needs to be relatable to the predominantly non white global family.

So, I invite you to practice peace and to look at how you bully yourself and others through criticism. The energy this week is intense. I suggest surrounding yourself in green healing light before bed ( we are at the effect of the collective unconscious as we sleep) and in the morning before you meet your day as well. And pray for our leaders.. all of them.
