Reserve Today for our 51st Annual Dinner Dance - November 5th

Join us we celebrate our anniversary at our 51st Annual Dinner Dance and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, November 5th! Fine dining, open bar, music, dancing, raffles, and recognition of our members who do so much to make our Council so special.

The venue this year is The Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury, Connecticut, where we'll enjoy a cocktail hour, open bar, full buffet dinner, dancing, photo booth, and entertainment. The cost is $125 per guest, and it is sure to be well worth the price for this event, which will also include -- back by popular demand -- our hospitality suite for your enjoyment before the event and for the after-party at the Ethan Allen Hotel.

Click here to purchase tickets on Eventbrite for $25 each to make your reservation.

Pay the balance of $100 by October 24th by check dropped off or mailed to the Council (10 Fair Street, Carmel, NY 10512). [We're only selling tickets for reservations online because Eventbrite's fees for a full-price ticket would be considerably more.]

We've also made arrangements with the hotel for a block of rooms at the Ethan Allen Hotel for our guests at discounted rates. Follow this link or call (800) 742-1776 (mention "Knights of Columbus") and make your room reservations today!

This year we are honoring as our "Knight of the Year" brother Knight Pat Barry, and as "Family of the Year," Jim & Rita Carey & Family!

We are again having a large-format (8.5x11") souvenir journal this year with additional color pages in the center. Please click here to take an ad to honor a special person or group, or to promote your business or organization. No ads will be accepted without payment!

Reservations and pre-payment are absolutely required. No walk-ins and no sales at the door. All reservations must be made by October 24th.

The night will start at 7:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour with plenty of hors d’oeuvres, followed by a great buffet dinner, our brief awards ceremony, entertainment and dancing, and delicious desserts & coffee. Open bar all night!

Keep the fun going by returning to the hospitality suite at the Ethan Allen Hotel for the fantastic after-party!

Reserve today!!! All ticket sales end October 24th. No reservations or sales after October 24!
Companion Dog Presented to 9/11 First Responder

On Sunday, September 11th, we presented a trained companion dog to Chris, a worthy first-responder, in a brief ceremony held at our Council.

Our Council and the Fourth Degree Sir Knights of Mother Cabrini Assembly jointly sponsored this gift through Guardian Revival's "Boots & Paws" Healing Through Canines program.

We presented "Leila," a 14-week-old German Shepherd, to Chris who, along with being a father and a husband to a trauma nurse, has been a Yonkers Firefighter for over 23 years. He was among the brave firemen working on 9/11 in 2001.

As part of our sponsorship, Guardian Revival's first-year care package provided to Chris includes food, veterinarian services, pet insurance, toys, collars, and other necessary pet supplies, as well as five sessions of professional training and resources for dog training and ownership.

Chris expressed gratitude for the donation, and his family is overjoyed with their new buddy. We and Guardian Revival are confident that their lives will be transformed!
Another Wunderbar Oktoberfest!

Our Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, October 8th, was another huge success and a ton of fun!

Our guests were treated to lots of German food, imported German beer on tap, and live German music from the famous Austrian Boys Band. We served up a fantastic, home-cooked, authentic German dinner featuring hot Bavarian pretzels, goulash soup, potato pancakes, wiener schnitzel, bratwurst, and bunch of great traditional side dishes. Dessert featured fresh-baked apple strudel and ice cream. Nobody left hungry!

We had perfect fall weather all day, just right for relaxing outside in our Beer Garden. Guests stayed to enjoy the warmth of the fire pit well into the crisp, clear fall night.
This year's Oktoberfest was a great success because of the support of our guests and A LOT of hard work from the Oktoberfest Crew and volunteers who pitched-in to help.

Our Oktoberfest Crew shopped and prepped for well over a week before the event. And members of our Ladies Auxiliary did a fantastic job decorating and helping out with the food service.

Special thanks once again to event chairman Mike Bock and the whole Oktoberfest Crew for putting together such a great event for the enjoyment of our members and guests. Thanks also to St. James School for donating the beautiful gift basket that we raffled-off.
Enjoy some photos of the day, including from our annual beer stein lifting contest:
Bingo is Back Starting Oct. 23rd!

Our Ladies Auxiliary is hosting another of their fantastic afternoons of Cash Bingo on Sunday, October 23rd starting at 2 p.m.

Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, their mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,500 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.

Proceeds from this bingo event will help defray the cost of wreaths in the Carmel area.
