Move to Online GOS Claims Announced

NHS England provided an update on 3 July to Ophthalmic contractors.

"From 1 January 2024, it will be a contractual requirement that all GOS claims are submitted electronically via your practice management system or PCSE Online."

Are you ready?

FLEX Users

You can submit electronic GOS claims already via the integrated eGOS claims management window. If you currently submit claims using PCSE online and would like to move to eGOS within FLEX then contact the helpdesk who will be able to assist you.

V5 / PCS Users

Contact Chris Smith to arrange a demonstration and to discuss upgrading to Optinet FLEX and start submitting electronic claims with FLEX eGOS.

Some of the advantages of eGOS:

  • Integrated into FLEX
  • Create claims even when PCSE online is offline!
  • Fewer rejected claims
  • Track your claims
  • Reduced carbon footprint

Frame Catalogue Update

Coral Eyewear is the latest addition to our online frame catalogue, its range of sustainable eyewear can now be downloaded into FLEX.

If there is a range you would like to see added, get in touch with the team.

EeRS Update

(Electronic Eyecare Referral System)

We are aware that many practices are being contacted about sending electronic referrals from next month to the best of our knowledge the only supplier that is ready is 'Opera'.

For context, multiple suppliers have been awarded contracts to link primary eye care with the hospital ophthalmology and GP systems. Each supplier is responsible for the completion of their own solution, working to a standard national API.

We have linked FLEX to the national API so that it will work with any of the suppliers once they are ready - we have been in conversation with several suppliers, offering assistance where necessary.

If your supplier is Opera then you can start to use the EeRS integration now, we will provide updates, via T5, as other suppliers let us know they are ready.

Archive Zero Qty Stock Items
