Online Booking - New Bookings Alert

Following a request from a user during a visit to our training suite, we have made a simple change to the online booking alert that appears in the appointment diary and the diary home-screen widget.


The user asked if the button could stand out more, to be more noticeable to the user - after trying a few different ideas we settled on changing the text colour, to a vibrant blue!

Staff Training

We have had a few questions this week about staff training, so here's a reminder of the different ways we can deliver training for practice staff. 

Remote

Remote training is delivered by telephone with the assistance of our remote support tool 'ScreenConnect'.


Remote training is ideal for shorter Q&A sessions with a single member of staff.


Remote training is included in your monthly rental fee

In-Practice


Our software trainer comes to your practice to deliver a training session to the staff.


Ideal where multiple staff members need the same training content and you are not able to travel to Malvern.


£400+VAT per day (5 hours)

Malvern Training Suite


Staff travel to our training suite at our offices in Malvern, Worcestershire (WR14 2AZ).


Ideal where you want staff to get away from the distractions of the practice & concentrate on the training,


£75+VAT per person (max 5 people / 5 hours / lunch included)

How To: Change Lens Sales Group

When you sell lenses, through the till or the dispense screen, they are grouped on sales reports by the 'Sales Group' assigned in the my lens catalogue. Here is a useful guide that explains how to assign sales groups to single or multiple lenses.

Uplift in the fees paid for NHS optical vouchers in Scotland (June '23)

We have had a notification from NHS National Services Scotland, advising us of a change in voucher values effective June 1st.


We are planning how best to automate the update process for FLEX users and will provide more detail in next weeks T5. PCS & V5 users will ned to manually update the values, we will post links to help pages in next weeks edition.
