Claims Locked as Submitted


We had a number of practices ringing with claims that were still set as 'Submitted' when they should not have been, we believe this is as a result of a 'hiccup' in the PCSE systems.


If you need the status of any claims to be changed please contact the helpdesk who will be happy to help.

Auto-Family Searching


Patients can be linked together to make family groups, in FLEX we define a family group as those living at the same address.


There are benefits to creating families:

  • View recall dates / till balances in one place
  • Update all records when address changes
  • Quickly add new family member with pre-filled details


To enable automatic family searching:

  1. In FLEX navigate to 'Setup > Branch > General > Double-Click a branch > Data'
  2. Tick the option shown in the image below...

FLEX Messaging


The internal messaging screen in FLEX allows conversations to be created between groups of staff members.


Conversations can include links to patient records and web links.

Latest Patches

  • HPP indicates high priority patches that are downloaded and installed automatically
  • MTS indicates patches that have been deployed to the 'Hosted FLEX' servers
  • REQ indicates a patch that will be loaded on request or when an issue is highlighted

  • Two options have been added to the 'NHS England Claims' screen to quickly switch between finished claims and claims that need attention.
  • Tint values are now being correctly calculated for GOS3 & GOS4 when prescription changes.
  • The link between a GOS1 & GOS3 claim has been improved
  • Prism values are now being correctly calculated for GOS3 & GOS4 when prescription changes.
  • Small Glasses and Special facial characteristics values are now being populated correctly from Voucher setup.
  • A confirmation dialog has been added when Bifocal/Varifocal voucher is selected and Distance or Near are chosen in the Suppliers and/or Patients declaration.
