NHS Eye Examination Fee Increase in Scotland


A reminder that all NHS eye examination fees in Scotland we increased by 4.5% on November 1st.



You should update your sales items & voucher values now, if you haven't already.

We have seen a recent spike in tickets regarding eGOS claims with a stuck 'Submitted' status - likely due to the PCSE service issues at the end of September / October.


If you think this may be the case then please get in touch with the helpdesk team who can quickly free them up and make them available for re-submission.


Webpost Update - Action Needed


We have received the following communication from Webpost that they will be updating their despatch manager on 11th November. If you still use Webpost to send your recall letters you will need to check & possibly update your letter templates (as per the information below).


Release Arrives In Practice


FLEX update v1.5.7 went on general release this week, with the first group of practices being updated on Monday night.


Feedback has been good so far, we have issued patches this week to address some minor issues.


You can check the date of your update by viewing the release schedule below. You will need to know your download group, which is displayed in the 'About' screen in FLEX (Menu -> About).


The download group is shown in the 'System Information' section.

Docmail Price Increase - Nov 7th


Following an announcement by the Royal Mail that they will be increasing their prices, Docmail have advised us that the price to send a document through them will increase by 6p a pack, from November 7th. All reverse side printing and additional sheets in a pack are unchanged.
