We have been advised, by PCSE, that the recent maintenance work has been completed and the Ophthalmic Payments system is now back up and running.


For the next 10 working days, PCSE have asked that practices:


  • Submit smaller batches of claims of 50 to 100
  • Do not send any requests for statuses. Status updates have been disabled
  • Do not send any pings. Ping confirmations have been disabled

In this weeks T5 we are highlighting the key changes coming in the next release, you can read the full release notes, including all the enhancements and fixes, by clicking the button at the bottom of this section.

  • FLEX Frame Catalogue System is now available.
  • Integration with Rodenstock CNXT® is now available. Transfer images & data between your Rodenstock equipment and FLEX.
  • Appointment diary can now display slots with variable height, based on the appointment duration.
  • A 'Virtual Lens' can now be selected for Zeiss orders.
  • Receipts can now be amended to suit the needs of the practice with the inclusion of a new 'Receipt Editor'.
  • FLEX online form results can now be imported into ST / CL & pre-exam records.
  • Reminder scheduling now accounts for practice opening hours.
  • Electronic Eyecare Referral system (EeRS) is now available..
  • The branch settings screen has been re-designed and a search facility added.
  • A new 'Audit Report' is available, for both sight tests and contact lens records, the produces a complete clinical history for a selected visit.
  • Recall dates, on the patient record, are now highlighted yellow if they fall due within 30 days.
  • In the eGOS widget, the optometrists initials have been added and a right-click option to go directly to the claim in the 'eOphthalmic Claims' window in business intelligence.
  • A patient export option has been added to allow practices to comply with Subject Access Requests from patients.
  • The ability to ignore the appointment type when searching for an appointment in the 'Find Free Slot' tool has been added.
  • Adjusted IOP's, based on the corneal thickness, are now calculated and displayed.
  • The ability to rotate a PDF file has been added to the in-built PDF viewer.
  • A new filter has been added to the eGOS reporting screen to allow claims to be filtered by status (Finished / Unfinished).
  • Personal pronouns have been added to the patient record.
  • AER% has been added to the business performance dashboard (AER shows the % of patients that were dispensed within 30 days of having an examination)
  • New lens catalogues added: Mayfair, Tokai
  • The internal browser control has been updated (from IE to Chromium)
