FLEX update is rolling out NOW!


An update to your FLEX software (v1.5.6), has started rolling out - updates are released in groups so yours may not be immediate (all groups should be updated by the middle of December).


This release includes new features, product enhancements and bug fixes:

  • eGOS6 claims
  • Pre-visit Notifications
  • EeRS - electronic referral integration (UAT)
  • Card payment processing (UAT)
  • 'Notable Data' feature has been added to contact lens exam
  • New 'eGOS Claims Report'
  • Ability to re-select a test linked to an eGOS clai


(UAT: These items have passed internal testing and are currently in User Acceptance Testing with a small number of practices)



FLEX will prompt you when the update is available, follow the on screen instructions to update each of your computers that run FLE (hosted FLEX users need do nothing, the update will be applied automatically).

There are some changes coming to stock-taking in the next release (rolling out now):


  • The ability for multiple people to collaborate on the same stock-take
  • Changed the colour of error lines to dark red (from light red)
  • Added buttons to increase / decrease qty within the table

Receipt Designer


The ability to customise the layout of a till receipt, for example to be able to add a custom message at the end of the receipt or summarise by sales group rather than sales item description.

  • Fixes an issue in the Contact Lens Exam window where Staff Tasks are created multiple times during the exam instead of once at the end. [HPP]

  • A confirmation dialog is now displayed when a user ticks the ‘Exception Processing’ box during submission of GOS4 claims (NHS England) [HPP]
  • #006: Stock
  • Corrects an issue with the Stocktake where some items were being displayed more than once. [HPP]
