A PERSONAL NOTE
Hi,

This note will be very personal.
Sadly, just before the holidays, my 51-year-old son Ken (my youngest kid), passed away after a difficult three-year battle with lung cancer. In this strange era of Covid and with winter blizzards and holiday travel complications, I was unable to fly out to Minnesota where he lived since college. But my other two children made it there, and were with him to the end.
A blessing for us all was today’s technology. We were able to Zoom while he was in the hospital and even towards the very end when he was in hospice. He knew we were there the whole time. I saw in an article recently that many patients whose family were not allowed to visit made use of video chats in which you see and talk to each other as though you were in the room in real time, which gives a great deal of comfort to all. Our ancestors did not have this gift.
My son was a software developer, very smart, very sweet, and I will miss him greatly. I sent him light, energy, thoughts, and permission to “lift off” and let go. His passing was very peaceful, and since I know that there’s an afterlife, I’m sure he was welcomed by loved ones who passed earlier.
Much of this newsletter was written before everything went south; some of it afterwards, and therefore it’s a little truncated. We are on the cusp of the New Year – a year we all hope will be better than 2020. I know you all are sending supportive condolences and good energy my way, and I appreciate that. To you, I send heartfelt wishes for each and everyone to have a blessed and beautiful New Year.

ASTRO TIDBITS - JANUARY 2021
The World sees mid-month as extremely tempestuous, with upsetting news and internet disruptions along with some blocked or some voluminous communications from the 10th – 12th (Mercury square Uranus, conjunct Saturn/Jupiter), followed by intense frustrations and crisis of leadership in large institutional bodies from the 12th – 15th (Mars square Saturn; New Moon conjunct Pluto), and then a crazy mixture of delight (Venus trine Uranus), excess, and/or unorthodox actions, even with possible violence on the 14th (Uranus SD conjunct Mars, square Jupiter/Mercury). Week 3 indicates risks and overconfidence (Jupiter square Uranus; Mars square Jupiter). There is much confusion in Week 4 (Node square Neptune). A challenging pattern on the 28th could bring fires, bombings, or even war (Full Moon in Leo opposite Jupiter exact, square Mars)!
In the U.S., matters are equally busy and mixed. Intense communications regarding financial matters somehow reawaken our revolutionary past all month (Pluto opposite U.S. Mercury, conjunct U.S. South Node), along with a strong thrust for freedom as versus our ruling “elite”, especially around the 14th (e.g., rebellion against Covid restrictions?) (Uranus SD sextile U.S. Jupiter, square U.S. NN, trine U.S. p2ASC). The first half of the month brings serious goals, a beneficial economic slowdown, and excessive hopefulness (Saturn in a grand air trine to U.S. MC and U.S. p2MC, square U.S. p2Venus; Jupiter t-square U.S. p2Saturn, p2Venus, trine U.S. p2MC). The 7th is happy (Venus sextile U.S. Moon). A tendency to splurge or over-celebrate is seen on the 10th – 13th (Venus square U.S. MC, oppose U.S. Venus/Jupiter). For some, the 14th – 15th is energetic and pleasant (Mars sextile U.S. Venus; Venus trine U.S. p2ASC), but for others, the mood is glum (U.S. p2Moon square U.S. p2Saturn). Week 3 is more sober (Venus square U.S. Saturn/p2Mars), but finds us bold and strong, possibly ready for military action (Mars sextile U.S. Jupiter, trine U.S. p2ASC). Week 4 brings good fortune, hope, strong communications, and a good stock market (Jupiter trine U.S. Uranus; Venus trine U.S. Neptune, opposite U.S. Mercury, conjunct U.S. p2SN, and conjunct U.S. Pluto in H2).
President Trump is empowered all month (Pluto trine his MC). Week 1 can be tiring but quite happy, with a slowdown recommended, but he is feisty and raring to go (his p2Moon in Virgo H1 square his NN; Jupiter opposite his Saturn; Venus conjunct his Moon/SN, opposite his Sun; Mars trine his ASC). Week 2 indicates he is popular, happy, hopeful, and forceful (Venus sextile his p2ASC, trine his p2Sun, square his Neptune; Mars conjunct his p2DSC). Mid-month, he encounters a snag (Saturn opposite his p2Saturn; Uranus SD square his p2MC; Mars square his p2Saturn) but, though emotional, remains strong and positive (Mars trine his p2Sun; Jupiter sextile his Neptune, conjunct his p2IC; his p2Moon square his Moon). Inauguration Day, January 20th, brings good news and hope (Mercury in grand air trine to his Uranus exact, Jupiter exact; Jupiter trine his p2Neptune). Week 4 shows rage and a hidden power struggle (Mars square his Pluto; Full Moon conjunct his Pluto H12).
Candidate Joe Biden has financial problems all month (Pluto opposite his p2Jupiter in H8, conjunct his p2Mercury in H2), and is on slippery ground (NN square his MC; his p2IC conjunct his Saturn). The month begins on a note of sadness (his p2Moon square his p2Saturn). Week 2 indicates aggravation (Mars conjunct his Moon), but a new start for communications (New Moon conjunct his p2Mercury). He is angry in Week 3 (Mars square his Pluto). A crisis looms on the 28th (Full Moon conjunct his Pluto), and things look harsh by month’s end (Saturn opposite his p2Pluto; Neptune conjunct his IC).
Hunter Biden faces serious problems this month (Saturn square his Saturn; Pluto conjunct his Moon final).
Hillary Clinton must also deal with karmic problems this month (Saturn square her Sun in H12).

Book Review: “Keepers of the Garden” – by Dolores Cannon (Ozark Mountain Publishers, 1993)
“Don’t judge a book by its cover” is very appropriate because the cover of this small book looks like a science fiction cartoon (crayon-colored flying saucer beaming light onto an inaccurately-depicted planet Earth)! And it starts out simplistically, causing the reader to doubt the authenticity of its premise. However, not too long into it, certain concepts begin to shatter one’s skepticism and shake up one’s notions.
The book’s premise is that, via regressive therapeutic hypnosis, which is the author’s specialty, a client appears who, though normal in every way, slowly reveals his past-life lineage as an “alien” (i.e., extraterrestrial) who belongs to the race that “seeded” this planet. This first chapter is called The Discovery of Starchild.
“Phil” has led a boring life, always yearning for something he can’t put his finger on, despondent, even contemplating suicide. Regressionist Cannon's technique is to use the imagery of an elevator opening its door into a different place. In Phil’s first two such sessions, he is able to reconnect with a male life in wartime Germany and a female life in ancient South America. But by his third session, the “fun” begins: he steps onto a different planet with a red sky! It holds sadness for him. He must regress to this place a few times to realize that members of his (real) race were accidentally abandoned there to slowly starve because a supply ship was damaged. We learn that the universe has trade routes. This chapter is called The Lost Colony.
In subsequent regressions, Phil remembers that his race, looking similar to humans, has a home planet, conducts regular seedings of life on other planets in other galaxies, and tends to these planets as “gardeners” until they can become self-sufficient. His regression experiences help him to become whole, stronger, and find his purpose. He learns that he has chosen this life on what’s described as “a prison planet” (i.e., Earth) in order to find out more about being spirit in dense form.
We also learn that Earth is a backwater planet, way off the busier trade routes; that is has a “free-will charter”; that Greys and androids abduct people to take samples from “the garden” in order to tend its life-forms; and that all aliens are benign. We also learn that when Earth was chosen for this experiment, it was a pure place (Garden of Eden) but was corrupted by a meteor that polluted its soil with disease; that some humans are being prepared to migrate to a better (purer) planet; that not all planets are material, because some are just energetic (spiritual); and that aliens are living amongst us and have been for eons. This is just a tiny amount of info given by Phil and his other-dimensional companions.
One really interesting concept is given: not all one’s incarnations have to be real; an “imprint” of a life, stored in the Akasha and complete with events and emotions, can be added to one’s repertoire in order to gain its wisdom.
Among other chapter titles, some fascinating, some fantastical, include The Fourth-Dimensional City, Weeds in the Garden, The Interbreeding, Other Types of Beings, Discovery of Earlier Contacts, and Denial of Access. Many deep, wise, and insightful concepts are included – concepts that, by their nature and message, can’t be scoffed at. Whenever my skeptical mind balked at some new science-fiction-y explanation, some brilliant notion inherent in it would stop me in my tracks, and I’d find myself accepting a truth. My only remaining hesitation, really, is the idea that all aliens are evolved and benign! Very doubtful! I also questioned if Cannon was doing all these sessions for free, or if Phil was actually spending a small fortune on that caboodle!
A fun read. Thought-provoking. 4 stars.

Tanya, I did write about Joe Biden in the December ’20 newsletter. Have you ever had Neptune station on an angle (as he just did)? If so, were you able to think clearly and have a practical plan to move forward? Or were you in a huge delusion? Basically, among other negative aspects (e.g., his progressed Moon square his Saturn), that’s where things stand for him.

SHAKING LOOSE IS NEVER EASY
If you think that there is a finale to the current world development, or a set of circumstances that clarify the path ahead, you might be mistaken. For that is not the nature of this era. Instead, the entire world seems to be forging ahead into the unknown, feeling its way, and determining what works and what doesn’t, what is helpful and advantageous and what is not so, and so forth, until there is an acknowledgement of the generalized confusion.
And so, any current outcome still contains elements of instability, uncertainty, and upheaval.
If this is so on a grand scale, as is being seen and understood, it’s fair to ask, what would be the spiritual purpose of such a device by the higher realms affecting the evolutionary journey of the planet and its sentient race, humankind?
In the turning of an Age – in this case, the Age of Aquarius – what is the purpose for upheaval and uncertainty that leads in some ways to chaos and in other ways to growth?
The main principle of putting people and planet through such hardship, challenge, and distress is to shake loose from crystallized patterns, to force the formation of new approaches, better interactions, and even the yearning for spiritual connection in order to gain greater guidance. Yes, this is necessary and we encourage it.
It is a necessary stage in order to develop a greater level of awareness of purpose, role, and task for each individual during their lives and in relationship to the planet and each other, but it is never easy. This, then, is the real climate change! The change of the climate of the reality in which you dwell. Those who succeed in maneuvering through this era will leap ahead in consciousness and accelerate in theirs and the planet’s evolutionary development.
