Shame and Physical Therapy

Shame is a really uncomfortable sensation.

I am really lucky. I have a really wonderful primary care physician. However, I am embarrassed to contact him or see him too much. Some of you may know that I have experienced chronic anxiety. For me, it manifests as driving and health anxiety. With my health anxiety, I worry about things that are not likely to happen, and my brain will catastrophize and make me think I am having a heart attack when I am just having heartburn. As such, I worry about contacting my doctor with too many of my worries and thoughts. He has never made me feel this way, but this is something that concerns me nonetheless.

Help Us Build Our 2024 Programs!

On October 9th, we will celebrate the company’s 15th anniversary. That is the day the company was incorporated. To continue to show our appreciation for you, our patients and our community, we are launching an education program with monthly workshops, and your participation in these would be free of charge. The workshops will cover a variety of topics and host a variety of speakers. To best serve you, I would like your input on how and when to present these. Could you do me a quick favor and fill out this survey? It would be so helpful for me to know how I can best serve you. I appreciate you and thank you for your time.
