Critical Logbook update

The HOS History page has been updated with enhanced navigation and a more organized layout, making it easier for customers to find the important compliance information they need. There is no new functionality in this update.

The new page is only visible to customers whose drivers are using the latest version of the Reveal ELD Logbook app. Reveal might not display data correctly from devices that do not meet the following requirements:

Apple Devices: Logbook Version 4.8.0 or later on iOS 14 or above
Android Devices: Logbook Version 3.61.0 or later on Android 10 or above

We are providing regular progress updates to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and more than 75% of active users have already updated to a compatible app version. Customers with drivers on older app versions will continue to see the old HOS History screen until the end of June. At that point the remaining customer accounts will be switched to the new HOS History page and old versions of the app will no longer work. The FMCSA expects drivers unable to access an approved ELD to switch to a paper record of duty status (RODS) in accordance with the rules.

Customer communications

Communications have been sent to customers through April and May and will continue into June via email and in-product messages. It is important that the remaining users update to a compatible version to avoid reverting to paper logs. For some drivers this requires the phone operating system to be upgraded, for others this may mean a new device is required.
