Dog Paddle Events Begin This Weekend

Some of Reston’s pools are going to the dogs – quite literally. This weekend marks the start of the annual “Dog Paddle” events at pools that closed after swim season 3. This is the chance for our canine companions to dip in the pool in the “dog days” of August! Space is limited, and registration is required. There are even “Small Dogs Only” sessions available. Check the complete schedule and register today.

Last Chance: Offer Your Thoughts on RA Playground Updates

Don’t miss your chance to provide input on updates and renovations for three of RA’s playground facilities. Purple Beeches, Sanibel and Colts Brook playgrounds are all slated for renovations, and we want to know what you and your children value most about the playgrounds and how they might be able to be improved. Please take the survey to give your feedback. It will be instrumental as we move forward in selecting materials and designs.

Clusters: Learn the Latest on HOA Finances with Cluster Meet & Greet

Cluster leaders looking to learn more about managing finances are invited to attend the next Cluster Meet & Greet. SmartStreet, powered by Banc of California, will host an opportunity for cluster leaders to gather and receive an overview of financial and cash flow solutions and the benefits for homeowners and board members. The session will take place on Monday, August 26 beginning at 6:00 p.m. Learn more and register to attend to get the latest on the knowledge and tools needed to effectively manage your cluster’s finances, from tracking payments to managing accounts and generating financial reports.

Yard Sale Returns: Secure Your Table Space Today

The semi-annual Reston Association Community Yard Sale is one of RA’s biggest events, and there’s still time to participate. A few vendor spaces are still available for the fall event, which will take place Saturday, September 28 from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the parking lot at the Halley Rise complex at 12010 Sunrise Valley Drive (across the street from RA Headquarters). If you’ve ever been looking for an excuse to clean out that closet, garage or attic, here’s your chance – your forgotten items might be the treasure someone else has been seeking! Register for table space to sell household goods, furniture, clothing and more – more than 2500 people attend this popular event!
