Reminder for Spring Practice ACT (Online or In-person) | |

Our last Practice ACT exam for this academic year is fast approaching. Students interested in taking this exam are urged to quickly sign-up.
These full-length practice tests, administered by Princeton Review, offer students the opportunity to practice test taking strategies and determine baseline scores prior to taking the official SAT and ACT college entrance exams. Scores are not reported to anyone other than the student.
Students are encouraged to sign up online at the earliest and can choose to take the practice exam online or in-person.
- Spring Mock ACT exam (Online or In-person) - Saturday, March 18th, 2023, 9am - 12:45pm
- Online Strategy Session - Tuesday, March 14th, 2023, 6:30pm

2023 RHS PTSA Senior Scholarships | |

The 2023 RHS PTSA Senior Scholarships application is now open.
Graduating seniors are eligible to apply for scholarships of $1000 which may be used towards payment of tuition at a two-year college, four-year college, vocational school, room and board for on-campus housing, or required textbooks.
Applications are due on April 17th, 2023.

2023 LWPTSA Council Scholarships Available | |

Lake Washington PTSA Council is pleased to roll out our 2023 Scholarship Program! Council offers several student scholarships and two $500 staff scholarships each spring.
This year's Student Scholarship Program will include 15 scholarships of $1,250 each:
- 8 Merit scholarships
- 1 LWEA/Teeley scholarship (funded by the LWEA)
- 2 Perseverance scholarships
- 1 Turnaround scholarship
- 1 Two-year, technical or vocational scholarship
- 2 At-large scholarships
Applications for both staff and student scholarships are due by 11:59 pm on Wednesday, March 29th. LWPTSA Council's Scholarship Program is funded by money raised at our annual scholarship fundraising auction, by annual donations from the 44 PTAs/PTSAs in the LWSD, the LWEA, and by donations from the greater community.

Equity in Family Engagement Conference March 25th & 26th | |

Would you like to learn from national and local experts and hear diverse family voices.
Become empowered to create welcoming, inclusive, equitable schools
that support the achievement of all students?
You can attend the Equity in Family Engagement Conference and find out the latest equitable school-family partnership strategies, models and research from renowned national and local experts. Hear parent and student voices. Take amazing workshops and get inspired to transform your school.
The conference will be held from 9:00am-3:00pm on Saturday, March 25th and 9:00am-12:00pm on Sunday, March 26th. This is a live, remote event and sessions will not be recorded.
If you are interested, able to attend the entire conference, and want to bring change to RHS; please reach out to Felice at treasurer@redmondhsptsa.org about how this fits with our School of Excellence plan. Your registration my be covered through the program.

Volunteers needed for ACT/SAT test prep Saturday March 18 | |
|
RHS PTSA is looking for 2-3 parent volunteers for the upcoming Practice (Mock ACT) at RHS. Volunteering duration will be up to 2 hours, between 8:30am - 12:30pm at Bldg. B at RHS on Saturday, March 18 2023. Volunteering includes being on site while students take exam and helping the proctor or students if required.

RHS Student Volunteer Opportunity | |

The junior scientists of Wilder Elementary need you! We are looking for high school volunteers to supervise activity stations at the Wilder STEM Night & Science Fair.
The STEM Fair is from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on March 30th and will include student project viewing plus math games, science and engineering activities, interactive demonstrations, science and math focused art, and tons more.
Arrive at 5:45 for a quick orientation, then have fun assisting attendees as they participate in activities.
You'll have a great time AND volunteer hour credit is available! High school students are required to have an approved student volunteer form on file, which can be found here.
RHS students can return their completed form to their school office or email to volunteers@lwsd.org
