MATANOT I'EVYONIM

On the day of Purim, it is also a special mitzvah to give money to at least two poor people (Matanot l’Evyonim - gifts to the poor). Each poor person should be given at least the amount of food that is usually eaten at a regular meal or the amount of money required to buy this. We encourage everyone to donate online before Purim so that your contributions can be distributed to the needy on Purim day. Matanot l'Evyonim can be given to The Village Shul Rabbis or online.

The deadline for Matanot l'Evyonim online is Friday, March 22nd at 10:00 AM.
