Young At Art

Maria Milazzo, owner of Young At Art, is a graduate from Kean University with a B.A. in Fine Arts/Teacher Certification. Maria lives in Matawan, NJ and has been a teacher of art to children and adults in the surrounding areas of her community since 1991. "The style of my work is ever changing as it reflects the ever changing outlook I have on my own little world."

Maria adds, "I have a lot to be thankful for that I have been guided to the path of artistic expression. It has become something very strong within me that I carry along wherever I go."

Maria is art teacher at Marlboro Elementary NJ in addition to teaching from her small studio in Matawan, NJ. She is currently a member of the Art Alliance of Monmouth County and the Provincetown Art Association.

In June of 2014, Milazzo started to paint scenes from 26 countries around the world, one for each letter of the alphabet, and connected with people in each location. Never leaving her studio, Milazzo's enthusiasm and excitement about the project grew as the people and places she visited quickly took hold of her heart. She traveled virtually through unfamiliar sights of desolate ghost towns, bustling cities, villages of nomadic tribes. Join her on April 18th to celebrate the completion of her project and learn more about her experience.
