Some things in life happen via automation. No one tells it to happen, it just does. Other times, we see progress based upon development.
I was not born with an innate desire to brush my teeth every day. But I think it's safe to say humans are created with a bend towards betterment, i.e. teeth brushing. Perhaps betterment is not the right word. Growth. We all are created with the intention for growth.
When nourished, we grow. When provided food, we physically grow. When provided education, we mentally grow. When provided connection, we expand our ability to care and love others well.
An un-watered-nutrient-deficient tree, would likely fail to blossom. In turn it would not fulfill it's purpose as a tree...it would soon find itself chopped, split and waiting for the next bonfire. We need to remain mindful of how we're being nourished. Are we caring for our physical, mental and human growth?
When seasons change, especially at springtime, we're given this immersive experience as we watch everything around us change. The next time it rains, watch how green the grass gets. When the temps spike, notice how many inches a seedling sprouts. I bet if you went outside and gave your plants a few compliments or words of encouragement, they'd flourish!
Let's be intentional in regards to nourishment. Let's think about what we're eating, listening to, saying, thinking, writing, and doing. Our activities are connected to our own blossoms and what we give time and attention to matters.
We have 70 more days till summer...let's keep growing!
