Take a #MondayMoment to pray with this question - Have you experienced God's love and forgiveness?
Being God’s child is our privilege and destiny. Our transformation into children of the Living God has been made possible through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. He has washed us clean and brought us into the bosom of the Father where God desires that we live as His sons and daughters.
Do we live as His children? Do you love much because you have been forgiven much?
Jesus died out of love for us in spite of our sins. While He does not desire for us to dwell on our past sins, shortcomings or failings; He does want us to acknowledge them. In order to to deeply experience God's love it is good for us to reflect on how we have been forgiven.
Search your heart for moments you have felt God's overwhelming forgiveness. Respond with gratitude for the gift of His death on the cross. Make experiencing forgiveness a part of your daily prayer life.
Focus on Forgiveness by ending each day this way:
- Say the Prayer of Thanksgiving
- Do a General and Particular Examination of Conscience
- Pray and Act of Contrition
