Ribbon Cutting ceremonies

Congratulations to Valley Community Church

Valley Community Church held a celebratory ribbon cutting and official grand opening for their Families Building, which was followed by their worship service and lunch. It was a wonderful day with Pastor Heath sharing reflections from his sabbatical and their vision for the coming year.

Open House this Sunday

To keep the celebration going, they are inviting the surrounding community to join them and tour their newly dedicated spaces for kids, students, and people with disabilities. Make plans to join us, tour our space, meet people who serve with us, and find out more about how you can connect to our Families Ministries.

Sunday, September 10 at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.
You're invited to join us

Ribbon cuttings increase the visibility of a grand opening, new location, ground breaking or special anniversary. The chamber brings the giant scissors and the red ribbon, invites our ambassadors and publicizes the event in various publications. To schedule a ribbon cutting, email Dawn. Take a look at our recent ribbon cutting ceremonies here.

Business Newsletter from the City of Pleasanton

Brought to you by the City of Pleasanton to keep our business community informed.

Pleasanton Pipeline - Water Updates

This information is designed to keep you informed about many important Pleasanton water supply and quality issues. We encourage you to read the articles below and click the various links to obtain more information. Your questions and feedback are welcome - you can email us a pwd@cityofpleasantonca.gov or call (925) 931-5500.

Over the past few years, the City of Pleasanton contracted with an outside firm to study our current water rates and how much funding would be needed to meet the community’s water supply and quality needs. Since rates have not gone up since 2011, a larger increase is needed now.

We recognize increased costs affect your bottomline. The City will ensure that all new revenue will be closely monitored to fund the vital improvements and operations needed to ensure safe and reliable water for decades to come.

Funding is required to pay for capital improvement projects, replenish reserve funds, prepare for future State and Federal water quality regulations, and cover the cost of operations and maintenance.

The proposed first-year increase impacts customers differently based on the customer's bi-monthly water consumption. The following figure (from July 18, 2023, City Council agenda report - page 10) shows the impact of the proposed water rate increases on commercial customers. Click the button below to view a comparison of current rates vs. proposed rates.

Official protests must be in writing and delivered to the Pleasanton City Clerk's Office. Find more about this process on the Public Hearing Notice.
