Peddler's Village
Today we highlight GNJMA member, Peddler's Village in our #MemberMondays series.

Lahaska, PA is home to Peddler's Village, an adorable little place that turns into a Winter Wonderland every year for the holidays. The town hosts a Gingerbread House Contest and Display, displaying more than 70 creative entries from mid-November until early January. On the weekends, folks can take part in an outdoor walking mystery called "Elf on the Stealth" where families, led by Mrs. Claus, search the village for Shelfie the Elf.

Lifelong Bucks County resident Earl Jamison founded Peddler's Village in June 1962. The 18th century style specialty shopping village was inspired by Jamison's travels to the unique town of Carmel, California in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Peddler's Village opened with just 14 shops and the Cock ‘N Bull Restaurant, run by Jamison in the early years.

For more than 50 years, visitors have explored the best of Bucks county shopping, experienced exceptional dining at six unique restaurants and enjoyed family fun at Giggleberry Fair Family Entertainment Center, featuring the largest indoor obstacle course and a restored 1922 carousel. Folks have also escaped from every day to a getaway in the Golden Plough Inn's 70 rooms and celebrated favorite traditions at a dozen seasonal festivals and annual events.

“While 2020 has presented us with myriad challenges we never expected, we are planning very creatively for the holidays, with safety as a top priority,” said Bob McGowan, Chief Operating Officer of Peddler’s Village. “We feel very fortunate to be an outdoor destination where we can offer some holiday magic in the fresh air.”

Peddler’s Village was awarded first place in a number Best of Bucks 2020 categories! They also are on the list of 33 Best Christmas Towns That'll Instantly Transport You to the North Pole in Women's Day magazine!
