The Society of Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) honored the UCSF Department of Emergency Medicine the 2024 Outstanding Department Award for Excellence and Innovation in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the SAEM24 Annual Convention in May.

The UCSF CARE (Campus Advocacy, Resources, and Education) Program, LGBT Resource Center, and Black Women's Health and Livelihood Initiative invite members of UCSF to join in attending a screening of Any Other Way: The Jackie Shane Story in honor of Juneteenth and Pride Month at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco on June 23.

LCOE Aspiring Physicians Program Connects With Students This Summer


The Latinx Center of Excellence (LCOE) Aspiring Physicians Program (APP) launched its summer intensive program this month. The program is comprised of both the six-week premedical program and an academic year of mentoring, advising, and professional development. Eligible students identify as underrepresented in medicine (UIM) undergraduates at San Francisco State, UC Merced, and Fresno State.
