See community feedback in action:

_____

Last spring, the Port of New Orleans hosted a series of open houses about the Louisiana International Terminal, a proposed container terminal project in Violet. Feedback from those open houses and two formal public comment periods guided our efforts over the last year.

Thanks to your input, we made significant updates to the terminal’s layout and identified environmental impact studies to conduct. Now, we want to reconnect with the community, share recent updates, and show you how we will continue incorporating your input as we go through the federal permitting process.

Join us for one of three upcoming open houses in March 2023 to discuss the terminal’s updated layout, the environmental permitting process, our community commitments, economic impacts, job readiness, the St. Bernard Transportation Corridor, and other topics. We also encourage you to continue sharing your questions and comments about the project.

We hope you can join us!

Drop by an open house anytime during the event! There will be no formal presentations. Instead, project team members will be available at stations according to topic to talk with you and answer questions. All three events will cover the same information. For those unable to attend, all meeting materials will be online at LouisianaInternationalTerminal.com from March 7-31, 2023.

The Louisiana International Terminal will enhance Louisiana’s position as a global shipping destination and strengthen the local St. Bernard Parish economy. We believe a project designed with the community in mind is better for everyone. So, we value your involvement as we continue to design a project that provides opportunity and protects quality of life.
