GET INVOLVED!

On Your Marks!

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way to get the prize." (1 Corinthians 9:24)

It's that time of year again—Living Stones is hosting its annual fundraiser, and we need the support of many to make it a success. While our ministry centers around shared meals, our programs embody a deeper commitment to creating lasting change. Beyond rescuing food and feeding our neighbors in Pittsburgh, Living Stones is devoted to nurturing the overall well-being of those we serve and building strong, supportive relationships within our community.

This year's fundraiser will be held on Saturday, September 21, and we hope you'll join us for this fun, two-part event featuring an exciting race followed by a lively post-race celebration. The post-race celebration, emceed by WPXI's Lisa Sylvester, will include an amazing silent auction, hearty hors d'oeuvres, an incredible cookie table, and much more!

Bring a car full of friends and take part in our thrilling race, where you'll complete missions and solve riddles to try to reach the winners' circle. If racing isn't your style, you can simply join us for the post-race party and enjoy an evening of fun, laughter, and a chance to help neighbors who count on our love and support.

It is easy to overlook the costs associated with our ministry, and many may not realize that expenses are involved. However, maintaining an organization entails ongoing costs, not to mention the numerous items we need to purchase and maintain regularly. We currently serve five meals a month, including three Sunday dinners and a breakfast and lunch buffet at My Monday Thing! While we are incredibly grateful to the generous restaurants and institutions that donate most of the food we serve, we still need to purchase additional food each week to supplement these donations. Additionally, we regularly buy aluminum pans, storage containers, single-use plates, plasticware and much more for our meals. Living Stones is also responsible for maintaining and purchasing fridges, freezers, convection ovens, and other necessary equipment. As we aim to grow and expand our serving locations, we anticipate incurring even greater costs.

The success of this fundraiser is crucial for our ministry's continuation, and we hope you'll consider joining us! Your support will enable us to continue to love and uplift our neighbors. Get tickets or become a sponsor before September 7!

Living Stones fosters the cultivation of relationships with neighbors who join us for meals. As relationships develop and deepen, Living Stones volunteers come alongside those individuals and families to assist them in navigating the challenges in their lives and encourage them to find hope in Christ as they learn to trust Him.
