Meet the Team Behind BHS's Makerspace

to house it, in BHS's former auto shop. Funded by the 21st Century Fund, Engineering Innovation and Design will be available to students starting in September. Click here to read how Aubrey and Andrew intend to combine their talents to add breadth and depth to BHS's STEAM program while giving students with a variety of skill-sets the chance to tackle problems in the way that interests them most.

Stude nt Work Displayed at Arnold Arboretum
If you are out and about this month and visiting the Arnold Arboretum, m ake sure to stop in at the visitor's center. Botanical illus trations created i n Donna Sart anow icz's 21st Century Fund-se eded class, Drawing for Understanding i n Field Science, are on exhibit through January 23. All are invited for cocoa and cookies at a  reception to celebrate the student artists tomorrow, January 7, from 1 to 2pm.  
 
Attention Teachers: Mini-Grants Available
Are you a faculty member with a great idea for BHS? We want to give you a fast and easy way to get funding to explore your inspiration. This year, the Fund is offering the opportunity to apply for a mini-grant of $500-$1500 to help teachers pursue new ideas. Grants are available to all faculty, individually or as a group, or to a faculty member who leads a student group.  Click here to learn more. One-page proposals due January 11.
