   Welcome conference attendees!
Washington DC May 3-6 2012

WE ARE SO EXCITED TO BE SEEING YOU SOON!

With less than a week until the Maitri Conference, there are important details that will make your visit to DC more pleasant. Please read carefully!

  • Don't forget to bring your yoga props.  We recommend that you bring at least 3 blankets, a mat, a strap and two blocks.
  • Props can be stored on site through Sunday.
  •  Bring a photo ID with you to the Reagan Building. You will need this to get through security.
  • Registration opens at 3:00 this Thursday.
  • If you have not yet registered for the conference and plan to pay at the conference site, you can expedite the process by paying with a check. Even better, contact registerformaitri@gmail.com to register before Thursday. Full conference passes, day passes, and single class tickets are available (full price - no discounts!).
    • Please be advised class choices are subject to availability. Our skilled associates are working hard against the approaching conference deadline to place you in optimal classes.
  • The Opening Night Reception (Thursday) and buffet begins at 6:00 pm.  The Opening Ceremony begins at 8:00.

OTHER THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

  • Weather in D.C. this time of year is usually in the 70's and they're predicting showers.
  • Bring a wrap or a sweater to wear between classes and an extra layer for class. The temperature in the Reagan Building might be cool.
  • Our daily schedule is very full.  You'll need to give yourself time to rest between classes.
  • The Federal Triangle metro stop (orange/blue lines) is connected to the Ronald Reagan Building by a covered passageway.  The Metro Center metro stop (red line) is two blocks away, and the Smithsonian metro stop (orange/blue lines) is within walking distance.    Washington is a great city for walking.  Bring your comfortable shoes.
  • Delicious snacks and tea will be provided during the breaks between classes.
  • DINNER CIRCLE seats are not yet full. We booked tables for 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5th at three different restaurants which offer a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.  All restaurants are favorites of D.C. foodies.Diners will meet at the JW Marriott lobby at 6:30 p.m. to join the Dinner Circle Host/Hostess and walk/ride to the venue.  E-mail Marlyn Zelkowitz to book your space.
  • OUR VENDOR MARKETPLACE is located right next to the Registration Desk.  Be sure to stop and shop. You'll see:
