Choral music celebrating the true spirit of America
Walt Whitman and MOS singers on concert poster for _America Singing_

The Michael O'Neal Singers open their 30th Anniversary concert season with I Hear America Singing, this Sunday at 3 p.m. at Roswell United Methodist Church. Drawing inspiration from American poet Walt Whitman, this program celebrates the vitality, variety, and optimism of America which is reflected through the creative endeavor of all its people. Including choral classics, folk songs, and spirituals, I Hear America Singing reminds us that patriotism at its core consists of both pride of country and a mutual respect for each other.

The 140 auditioned voices of the MOS chorus, accompanied by piano and organ and directed by Dr. Michael O'Neal, sing Aaron Copland's The Promise of Living, Leonard Bernstein's Make Our Garden Grow, Mack Wilberg's arrangement of Shenandoah, and three Randall Thompson compositions, among others.   Click here to view a list of music to be performed. There will even be a few chances for the audience to sing along!
Tickets are $15/$20 in advance and $20/$25 at the door.
We hope you can join us!
