No joke, Christmas is 66 days away! 66 days, people.
Since Elkhorn starts the celebration long before December 25th, please note that in 44 days we will kick-off the 40th Annual Tree Lighting at Veterans Park. Following the flip of the switch on December 3rd, we will follow the man in red to the Walworth County Fairgrounds to celebrate the first night of Let It Glow! With over 1,000 cars driving through a 2-hour event last year, the Elkhorn Chamber has made the decision to expand this lit festival to three full days!
Oh what fun, right?
In 45 days, also known as December 4th, we will fill downtown Elkhorn with kids, and bigger kids they call parents, to take part in the 40th Annual Christmas Card Town Christmas Parade at 1:30pm. After the parade, grab a snack and a warm beverage and enjoy a Santa-FREE drive-thru at Let It Glow from 5pm-9pm.
The weekend wraps up nicely with a Let It Glow stroll-thru on December 5th from 5pm-8pm. Find Santa nestled by the fire in the Log Cabin on the Walworth County Fairgrounds where guests are invited to drop off wish lists and snap pics with Santa Claus.
The holiday season is full of cheer and merriment! With three major days of activities, the Elkhorn Chamber has a variety of volunteer opportunities. Please check-out the Let It Glow sign-ups along with the Christmas Parade! Behind the scenes, in front of the scenes and everything in between are all waiting for you to say, "Yes Please" and ignite the holiday season!
