The Advocacy Committee began its Capitol Region Military Alliance (CaRMA-VA) began its service this year by visiting with Legislators during Chamber Day at the Capitol, then individual visits with Senator Aird, Delegates Coyner and Taylor, the VA Veteran Caucus, the Community Leadership Installation Forum, VMAC (above) and Fort Barfoot's anniversary (below).

The Events & Communications Committee invites members and the community to attend the H/PG Golf Open, May 16, Country Club of Petersburg featuring teambuilding, prizes, networking, friendly competition, and the awesome hospitality of CCP and volunteers.

The Hospitality & Tourism Committee

Collaborative Marketing Projects:
- Rivers and Roads Festival, scheduled for Sept, 6, 7, 2024;
- Taking over the lobby of the VA Skipper's Welcome Center on I-95 for the month of April to exhibit all things HPG to the traveling public
- Distributing the new VisitHPG travel brochure throughout Virginia. Special thanks to members Bryce Hipps Creative for graphic design and Owen Printing/Dietz Press for printing 30,000 copies!
- Promoting our businesses to overnight travelers during two Dixie World Series tourneys in July. If you would like to provide a coupon for the tournament, please contact Rosie Reighley or Makayla Christensen. Get in front of families traveling here from southeastern Virginia states.
